Who we are

Placing an order
We accept orders both through the website and over the phone. We can take card payment over the phone for orders placed within the UK, but the billing address must match the delivery address. We reserve the right to cancel an order if any discrepancies are spotted by our sales team. Customers will receive email notifications about orders and delivery updates. Please see our Privacy Policy for details.

Returns
Returns are accepted for any reason up to 30 days from the day of delivery. Goods must be in as-new condition. All of our products are covered by an 18-month warranty, with products being repaired or replaced if a fault occurs. We can provide a free courier returns label for any faulty items that need to be returned to us – please contact us for more details. If you wish to return a product for any reason, please e-mail us at queries@laserware.co.uk with your name and order number.

This privacy policy sets out what Laserware Ltd (“Us”, “Our” or “We”) receives in the form of personal buyer information when a customer (“You”) places an order with Us. The policy aims to explain how We use that information and under what circumstances, if any, We will share it with other parties. We abide by and are compliant with the Data Protection Act 1998 (“DPA”) and the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) which comes into effect on 25th May 2018. We are fully committed to keeping buyers’ personal information secure and confidential.

Lawful basis for processing personal data

For the purposes of GDPR, We are a Data Controller. We process all personal data lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner. Under Article 6 of The GDPR, the lawful basis on which We process personal data received from You is that of “Contract” – whereby processing is necessary in order to fulfill Your orders and enquiries.

We receive personally identifiable information only when it is voluntarily submitted by buyers when placing an online order. The data We receive includes: name, billing address, delivery name, delivery address, e-mail address (encrypted if You are an Amazon customer), telephone number (unless you’re an Amazon customer), date of order, items ordered, value of items ordered, chosen method of delivery. For customers using Our Website checkout, we may see the last 4 digits of Your payment card, and Your card expiry date.

If You do not provide this information, We will not be able to process Your order. We do not sell or rent personally identifiable information to any third party for any purpose.

How long We will keep Your data

We retain information provided by You for internal financial accounting purposes and for emergency use, in the event of a product recall. Under the Consumer Protection Act 1987, We have a legal obligation to contact you if there is a product recall associated with a product you have bought from Us. Your name, address, product purchased, reference number and e-mail address will be kept by Us for a period of 10 years, and will only be used in this time to contact You in the event of a product recall. If you wish for any data to be deleted, please see the heading “If You wish for Us to delete your data” below.

 

Usage of cookies

We use cookie files together with Google Analytics to recognise and count the number of visitors to Our website, and to see how visitors move around Our website when they’re using it. It also helps us understand how You found the Laserware website. This all helps us to improve how Our website works. Cookies kept to track Your visits to Our website are kept for a maximum of 26 months.

 

Data Subject Access Requests

Under GDPR, You are entitled to obtain from Us a copy of the data held concerning You and to have any inaccuracies in the data rectified. We are obliged to provide this data to you within 1 calendar month of the request and free of charge. However, We have the right to refuse or charge for requests that are manifestly unfounded or excessive and repetitive.

 

If you wish for Us to delete your data

Under GDPR, You are entitled to ask Us to delete the data We hold on You. To do this, please send Your request with the subject “Delete my data request” to gdpr@laserware.co.uk. The data We are allowed to delete will be erased within one month. Please be aware that, for legal reasons relating to accounting obligations and information required in the event of a product recall, some data We may be legally obliged to retain.
