Placing an order
We accept orders both through the website and over the phone. We can take card payment over the phone for orders placed within the UK, but the billing address must match the delivery address. We reserve the right to cancel an order if any discrepancies are spotted by our sales team. Customers will receive email notifications about orders and delivery updates. Please see our Privacy Policy for details.
Returns
Returns are accepted for any reason up to 30 days from the day of delivery. Goods must be in as-new condition. All of our products are covered by an 18-month warranty, with products being repaired or replaced if a fault occurs. We can provide a free courier returns label for any faulty items that need to be returned to us – please contact us for more details. If you wish to return a product for any reason, please e-mail us at queries@laserware.co.uk with your name and order number.

Privacy Policy for Laserware Ltd
Last updated 25th May 2018This privacy policy sets out what Laserware Ltd (“Us”, “Our” or “We”) receives in the form of personal buyer information when a customer (“You”) places an order with Us. The policy aims to explain how We use that information and under what circumstances, if any, We will share it with other parties. We abide by and are compliant with the Data Protection Act 1998 (“DPA”) and the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) which comes into effect on 25th May 2018. We are fully committed to keeping buyers’ personal information secure and confidential.

Lawful basis for processing personal data
For the purposes of GDPR, We are a Data Controller. We process all personal data lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner. Under Article 6 of The GDPR, the lawful basis on which We process personal data received from You is that of “Contract” – whereby processing is necessary in order to fulfill Your orders and enquiries.
Data We receive: Personally Identifiable Information
We receive personally identifiable information only when it is voluntarily submitted by buyers when placing an online order. The data We receive includes: name, billing address, delivery name, delivery address, e-mail address (encrypted if You are an Amazon customer), telephone number (unless you’re an Amazon customer), date of order, items ordered, value of items ordered, chosen method of delivery. For customers using Our Website checkout, we may see the last 4 digits of Your payment card, and Your card expiry date.
If You do not provide this information, We will not be able to process Your order. We do not sell or rent personally identifiable information to any third party for any purpose.
How We use Your personal information
We may use any personal buyer information provided to:
- Process and dispatch Your order/s
- Prevent and detect crime
- Undertake anonymised statistical analysis (We won’t be able to identify individuals from this data)
- Contact You 1-2 weeks after receiving Your order, via e-mail, to check that you are fully satisfied with Your order and to provide any further assistance necessary
- Contact You in the event of an order problem or product recall
We treat all information We hold about buyers as private and confidential. We will not reveal any personal details or details concerning buyers’ orders to anyone not connected with Us, unless:
- A buyer asks Us to reveal the information, or We have a buyer’s permission to do so
- We are required or permitted to do so by law
Third party processors that We use to process Your information
We may share Your personal information with Our suppliers, service providers and other contractors only to fulfil orders You place with Us. For the purposes of processing Your order, Your information may be processed by third party data processors. These data processors do not share Your information with others and keep all Your data encrypted.
When You place an order with Us, We will most likely receive Your data from third party data processors, depending on how You are buying goods from Us. These third party data process include but are not limited to:
- If ordering through Our website and pay by PayPal: PayPal (Europe) SARL
- If ordering through Our website and pay using Our website card payment system: Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd
- If ordering through eBay: eBay (UK) Limited and PayPal (Europe) SARL;
- If ordering through Amazon Marketplace: Amazon EU SARL
- If ordering over the phone: Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd
When You place an order with Us, the following third party data processors may receive and process Your data on Our behalf:
- Veeqo Ltd, provider of Our sales processing software;
- Xero (UK) Limited, provider of Our accountancy software;
- Google Apps, provider of Our e-mail services;
- Google Analytics, provider of Our cookie tracking (website orders only)
- Trustpilot AS, provider of Our website review system (website orders only, and only if consent is given)
It should be noted that Your information will also be shared with the courier who delivers Your parcel, but who according to the ICO, does not count as a data processor and is simply “a conduit between the sender of the mail and its recipient”. Our couriers include but are not limited to:
- Royal Mail
- Parcelforce
- DHL
- Amazon Logistics
- Collect Plus
Just so that you’re aware, these delivery couriers may e-mail you with shipment notifications, but will not use Your e-mail address for any other purpose.
We may also share Your data where We are under a duty to disclose or share your personal information in order to comply with a legal obligation.
How long We will keep Your data
We retain information provided by You for internal financial accounting purposes and for emergency use, in the event of a product recall. Under the Consumer Protection Act 1987, We have a legal obligation to contact you if there is a product recall associated with a product you have bought from Us. Your name, address, product purchased, reference number and e-mail address will be kept by Us for a period of 10 years, and will only be used in this time to contact You in the event of a product recall. If you wish for any data to be deleted, please see the heading “If You wish for Us to delete your data” below.
Usage of cookies
We use cookie files together with Google Analytics to recognise and count the number of visitors to Our website, and to see how visitors move around Our website when they’re using it. It also helps us understand how You found the Laserware website. This all helps us to improve how Our website works. Cookies kept to track Your visits to Our website are kept for a maximum of 26 months.
Data Subject Access Requests
Under GDPR, You are entitled to obtain from Us a copy of the data held concerning You and to have any inaccuracies in the data rectified. We are obliged to provide this data to you within 1 calendar month of the request and free of charge. However, We have the right to refuse or charge for requests that are manifestly unfounded or excessive and repetitive.
If you wish for Us to delete your data
Under GDPR, You are entitled to ask Us to delete the data We hold on You. To do this, please send Your request with the subject “Delete my data request” to gdpr@laserware.co.uk. The data We are allowed to delete will be erased within one month. Please be aware that, for legal reasons relating to accounting obligations and information required in the event of a product recall, some data We may be legally obliged to retain.
